Prospect tree Mortgages are proud to continue our relationship with Kent Cricket Club. Whilst continuing to sponsor Jordan Cox’s playing shirt we have added Daniel Bell-Drummond to the Prospect Tree Mortgages player stable.
There are lots of young players coming through the ranks showing the type of quality the Kent Cricket Academy is able to produce. With Jordan Cox being one of the most talented to come through the ranks in recent times. Scoring his maiden century in 2020 and being part of a record-breaking partnership.
We are very excited to see Daniel Bell-Drummond pick up where he left off in the 2020 season. Having just signed a new contract DBD is sure to be excited to get going again in 2021.
With close ties to Kent County Cricket Club and Kent League Cricket Prospect Tree Mortgages are keen to continue supporting the county, players and supporters alike.
Daniel Bell Drummond
Prospect Tree Mortgages are proud to be supporting Daniel Bell-Drummond (DBD) this season. A former winner of the Wisden Schools Cricketer of the Year (2011), and a smash hit with England Under-19’s. He received county cap No. 210 in 2015.
DBD made national headlines by smashing a breath-taking century for Kent against Australia in the build-up to the 2015 Investec Ashes series. He also shared a world record T20 opening stand with Joe Denly as they put on 207 against Essex at Chelmsford in July 2017.
2018 saw DBD prove himself to be an integral part of the Kent one day team. Scoring 485 runs in the Royal London One Day Cup with an average of 44. Kent just missed out in the final to Hampshire but DBD showed his skill throughout.
DBD has scored a century in all three formats (County Championship, T20 and One Day) and is one of only six players to achieve this feat so far.
Jordan, a Kent academy graduate, made his Kent debut against Pakistan in a List A friendly in 2019. His competitive debut came against Hampshire in the County Championship.
In the 2020 Bob Willis Trophy Jordan became a Kent record braker along with Jack Leaning sharing a 407 run partnership and scoring 238* himself. This partnership broke Kent’s all-time record partnership and set up victory by an innings and 25 runs.
Jordan’s 238* is the highest maiden First Class century in Kent’s history, and alongside Leaning, became the first pair to score double hundreds in the same innings since 1937.
Jordan represented England Under-19’s at the 2019 Under-19 World Cup, and is the latest in a long line of Kent homegrown wicket keepers.
Canterbury Rugby Club
Prospect Tree Mortgages are delighted to partner with Canterbury Rugby Club. Sport has, and always will be very close to our hearts at Prospect Tree Mortgages and we are always on the look out for opportunities to get involved. We hope that we will be able to assist as many current and future Canterbury Rugby players, supporters and wider community along the way.
Founded in 1929 Canterbury is the first ever East Kent club to achieve National League status. That milestone was reached when they became champions of London and South East Division One in 2005/06. In the most rewarding season in Canterbury’s history. They also won the Kent Cup for a second successive year and gained further recognition when named rugby's Team of the Year by Rugby World magazine.
The 2018/19 season saw the club's best performance in National 2 South to date, finishing in second place and earning a home playoff against their counterparts in National 2 North, Chester RUFC.
The race for the playoff spot was a thrilling one with Henley Hawks and local rivals Tonbridge Juddians pushing hard until an away victory over Barnes RFC guaranteed the opportunity. In front of a record attendance of 2000 spectators, the club won a tight match 19-10.
The club's commitment to its community responsibilities continues to grow. One of the major achievements has been the successful establishment of a Wheelchair Rugby section. In the space if just eighteen months its members achieved a place in the national competitions.
The club was rewarded in the 2015 RFU Presidents Awards when named as winner of the Community Engagement category, following success the previous year when Canterbury won the Best Managed Club accolade.
